ABOUT THE TEAM

Walderslade FC are one of only three Charter Development Clubs in the Medway towns with teams in both the boys (MNYL) and girls (KGLFL) leagues.

The FA Charter Standard Programme provides recognition that clubs are well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety being paramount. It also recognises a club's commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game. As a benchmark for quality, it improves the playing experience for players and supporters alike.

We at Walderslade FC believe that from
Soccer School to U18's both boys & girls, if your priority is for your child to enjoy football (at whatever level) in a safe, fun & friendly environment then Walderslade FC should be first choice for your child's footballing experience.

Our Soccer School currently caters for Both Boys & Girls from age 6 to 8.
Following Soccer School they progress to age related teams, where they are able to participate in competitive leagues.

For the coming season, starting in September 2008, we will also have two adult teams one playing in the Rochester & District Saturday league and the other, much of last seasons Under 18's, will be competing in the Medway Messenger Sunday league. These will provide progression for our players as they get older into the adult game.

As you can see, whatever the age of your child, we have a team for him/her... if you'd like to find out more about joining Medway's fastest growing Club either 'Click' on the 'Contact us' icon in 'More Stuff' or call Tim - Club Secretary on 01634 867934 for more information.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
