This week we were at Home to Barming, and following the recent trouncing the girls gave them in the cup 1/4 final they were in confident mood...
Barming have improved recently and it took nearly 8mins before the deadlock was broken...
a corner taken by colleen on the right side was driven in low and hard, where it cannoned in off the keeper...1-0
Two mins later 'George' finished off a neat 1-2 with colleen smashing the ball home 2-0
Just before the end of the 1st half 'George' took the ball from her own half skipped past 4 players and crashed! home her 2nd to give 'Slade' a 3-0 halftime lead.
Early on in the 2nd half 'george' and colleen were rested, and Barming not being under constant pressure started to make in-roads towards the 'Blues' goal, but leonie, sophie and Moll in midfield ably supported by Jess & Aimee thwarted all attempts to get within shooting distance of Courtney, who was the least employed player on the pitch....
Rebecca & Emily had a go upfront and both almost broke their duck, but for the heoics of the visitors keeper who deservedly got the M.O.M vote...
With minutes to go 'pinky & perky' were brought back on and within seconds had combined to increase the lead to 4-0.... before the end of the game both girls beat the defence and converted , giving the final score of Walderslade 6 - 0 Barming...
