10 things you didn't know about the cost of running a Football Club!! (11/02/2008)

Did you know:-

1. The average cost of providing 1 hours training per week for our 10 teams plus soccer school is approximately £850 per month.

2. The average cost of pitch hire for the 6 pitches we use is £250 per month (Sept/May).

3. Provision of qualified referees to cover matches(mandatory at the U18 level) costs the Club approximately £300 per month (Sept/May).

4. Since September 2006 the Club has put 41 people through the CRB process at a cost of £540.

5. Since August 2006 the Club has put 21 people through first aid courses so that each team has at least 1 qualified first aider at a cost of £1,155.

6. The average cost of a football kit, including number printing is approximately £400 per kit.

7. For every player that registers with the Club we have to pay a £2 registration fee to the League.

8. A transfer from another Club to Walderslade FC. costs £5 per player.

9. To provide a presentation evening for our 150(ish) players will cost the Club in excess of £3,500 in trophies and venue hire

10. Over the past 9 months the Club has sent the majority of the team managers/coaches on FA Level 1 or 2 Coaching courses to provide the best possible coaching for our players. This has cost the Club nearly £2,000.

WALDERSLADE BOOT BANK LAUNCHED (16/01/2007)

Walderslade Football Club have launched a boot bank with a number of second hand pairs of football boots available. If you have a pair of part used or new boots that do not fit any longer dont throw them away. Contact Tim Hunt, Club Secretary (01634 867934) and donate them to the Club. We will lend them to players who cannot afford to buy new boots or are unsure whether they want to play.
